A total solar eclipse usually occurs every 18 months or so, but Today's spectacle was special for its maximum period of "totality" -- when the sun is wholly covered by the moon -- of six minutes and 39 seconds.

Such a lengthy duration will not be matched until the year 2132.

It's a pity that it was raining today.

Nonetheless, you could live for another 123 years to catch it again!

Finally gotten some feedback. You guys can't be any faster, can you? -_- Never mind.

To make things more unisex or so Bernice says, I've found 2 movies that may be of interest to both genders:

Night at the Museum 2
Genre: Action/Comedy
Synopsis:

My prediction is that you people would vote for "Night at the Museum 2" since girls do hate romance movies, right? Personally, I have not watched the 1st sequel of the movie but I think the movie would be worth the bucks. ~~A poll will be added to the sidebar for votes shortly.~~

Both of these movies are currently showing in cinemas now and the date for the outing has been pushed back to 24th June to prevent any misunderstandings since Hui Wen may have already passed a message saying that. The venue's still the same though.

Alternatively, there's Ice Age that's coming soon but I just detest American Animation and it's only released for show on July the 1st.

and that note that it is a two-way transport from the school to ngee ann.

June Holiday Class Outing

Yes. The time is now for you to get out of your houses and not rot. So, I'm organising a movie outing on the 26th of June, which is a Friday.

I say we should watch Transformers because of the awesome Chevrolet in it.

And the movie of choice would be Transformers. Not too shabby a movie but I guess it'll work for the majority.

Meeting place: 7-11 @ Compass Point (11.30am).
Venue: Tampines Mall/ Century Square.
Approximated cost: 8 bucks for Golden Village @ TM and about $2 cheaper for Century Square's cinema.

I would prefer having lunch at TM since I've not eaten the Teppanyaki there for quite some time but I don't mind if you guys differ in opinion.

Much response and feedback is appreciated and tell me if you're coming or not via the tagboard, e-mail, SMS etc.

Anyway hands down, this is probably the most hated subject by majority but we still have to overcome this subject - Mother Tongue.

Hopefully someone with better Chinese grades can do something helpful to push down the class' MSG for Chinese in this blog. As for the Malay students... You guys go figure it out yourselves ^^;

Heh, it's been awhile since I've touched Blogger.

Okay, first things first, I would like to get a few things right as much as possible at one shot before proceeding with anything class-related or ambitious:
1. Get this blog known to the 4E1 people.
2. Get blogger-reader interaction.
3. Maintain decent traffic flow to the blog.
4. Keep this blog regularly updated with assignments, announcements, rants etc. so long as it is not offensive to anyone.

Sadly, I do not have high hopes.

end of 3rd term 2008

had fun during the teacher's day concert?
hopefully all of us did.

that's was the 1st ever time our class went to the gallery to watch the performance.
that was quite a nice view from the top.
except that its too far from the stage itself.

it was also the last day for some of our NIE teachers.
among the few were ms tong and ms kamala.
the day before teacher's day celebration, ms kamala gave each of us a chocolate bar,
then the day itself, ms tong gave us each a lollip0p.
hmm.. ii guess we will all miss them, am ii right?

really does hope that they would come back to our school.
(apparently, that's my opinion =.=)

with all that dancing, singing and skit, the performance ended.
but that was when the sec4s graduation-day-celebration started
the teachers went on stage and sing for the sec4s
the most memorable scene to me was that the 2 sec4s boys went up to mrs ivy ng
and offer her a piece of tissuse when they saw her weeping away.
and hug her after that.
for a student to do that, it must be that the teacher is worth doing it for .
i guess if someone were to be there and we were the student body,
no one would even bother to look.. (you know what i mean!)

Good teachers, Good students, Good memories. yup=]

With that, i would like to end here and on behalf of everyone, i would like to wish all the teachers, a very happy teacher's day!
